One Epic Challenge, Countless Memories
The challenge began with a steep climb straight up onto the Graig Fan Ddu ridge. It's a demanding start, but the effort is rewarded almost immediately with sweeping views over the reservoirs and valleys below.
Once on the ridge, the gradient eases and the team followed the dramatic escarpment edge northwards. This is one of the most scenic sections of the route, with sheer drops on one side and open moorland stretching out on the other.
The team reached their first summit, Corn Du (873m). From the top, participants looked back along the ridge they've just walked and across the reservoirs, a great moment to appreciate how far they've already come.
A short climb leads on to Pen y Fan (886m), the highest mountain in southern Britain. On a clear day, the views stretch to the Black Mountains, the Carmarthenshire Fans and even the Bristol Channel. The team stopped here for lunch, photos and a well-earned rest.
Leaving Pen y Fan, the group descended steeply to the saddle below before tackling the climb up Cribyn. Many consider this the toughest ascent of the day due to its relentless gradient, and teamwork and encouragement will be key to getting everyone to the top.
Reaching the summit of Cribyn marks the final peak of the challenge. Participants looked back across the horseshoe of summits they've conquered before beginning the descent.
The team made their way down from the ridge towards Bwlch ar y Fan and followed the old route back down the valley towards the finish, with tired legs but plenty to celebrate.
Crossing the finish line they officially completed the 10 mile Brecon Beacons Challenge. Celebrations were in order after an incredible day of resilience, determination and teamwork across three of the finest summits in Wales.
