This was a charity challenge for the Welsh Twin Peaks taken on by The Roses Tewkesbury. They summitted two of the highest peaks in Wales within 24 hours, experiencing the breath-taking landscapes of Snowdon (1085m) and Cadair Idris (893m)

One Epic Challenge, Countless Memories

  • 07:00:
    • The Roses team arrived at the foot of Cadair Idris and gathered for a final briefing before setting off on the first stage of the Twin Peaks Challenge.
  • 07:30:
    • The ascent of Cadair Idris began. Known for its steep gradients and rugged mountain terrain, the climb immediately tested the team's determination and endurance.
  • 10:00:
    •  The group reached the summit of Cadair Idris, taking time to celebrate their achievement and enjoy the spectacular views across Eryri National Park before beginning the descent.
  • 11:30:
    • After completing the first peak, the team returned to the vehicles and began the journey north towards Yr Wyddfa, using the travel time to rest, refuel and prepare for the final climb of the day.
  • 14:00:
    •  Arriving at the base of Yr Wyddfa, the team set off on the second ascent. Despite tired legs from the morning's challenge, morale remained high as everyone worked together towards the final summit.
  • 17:00:
    • The group reached the summit of Yr Wyddfa, the highest mountain in Wales. The achievement marked the successful completion of both peaks within the 12 hour challenge window, with plenty of celebrations and photographs at the top.
  • 17:30:
    • Following a well earned rest, the team began the descent from Yr Wyddfa, reflecting on an incredible day in the Welsh mountains.
  • 19:00:
    • The challenge officially came to an end as the team returned to the finish point. Through resilience, teamwork and determination, everyone successfully completed both Cadair Idris and Yr Wyddfa, creating an unforgettable achievement for The Roses Theatre.
