One Epic Challenge, Countless Memories

  • 8:00AM:
    • The team will gather in Horton in Ribblesdale ready to begin the demanding Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge. Following a full briefing and final preparations, participants will set off on the 24 mile circular route for a full day of endurance, teamwork and adventure across the Yorkshire Dales.
  • 9:30AM:
    • The first major ascent of the day will see the group tackle Pen y Ghent. Climbing steep stone steps towards the summit plateau, participants will be rewarded with incredible panoramic views stretching across the surrounding countryside.
  • 11:00AM:
    • After descending from Pen y Ghent, the route will continue across rugged limestone terrain and open countryside as the team heads north towards the second peak of the challenge.
  • 13:00PM:
    • The gradual but demanding ascent of Whernside will begin, with participants steadily climbing towards the highest peak of the Yorkshire 3 Peaks route. The summit offers breathtaking views across the Yorkshire Dales and beyond.
  • 14:30PM:
    • Following a well earned rest stop and refreshments, the group will begin the descent from Whernside towards the iconic Ribblehead Viaduct, one of the most recognisable landmarks along the challenge route.
  • 16:00PM:
    • Passing Ribblehead Viaduct, the team will begin the final ascent towards Ingleborough from Chapel le Dale. This section of the challenge is steep, exposed and physically demanding after many hours on the trail.
  • 17:30PM:
    • Reaching the summit of Ingleborough will mark the final peak of the challenge. Participants will take in far reaching views before beginning the long descent back towards Horton in Ribblesdale.
  • 19:00PM:
    • As fatigue begins to set in, determination and teamwork will carry the group through the final miles of the route as the finish line comes into sight.
  • 20:00PM:
    • Crossing back into Horton in Ribblesdale will officially complete the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge. Celebrations will be in order after an incredible 12 hours of resilience, determination, teamwork and achievement across one of the UK’s most iconic hiking challenges.
